4-3-3 Manchester United lineup vs West Ham United: Rashford up front?

Manchester United will desperately look to get back to winning ways after surprisingly falling at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. They face West Ham United this midweek.

Currently sitting second in the Premier League table, the Red Devils will be keen to end the season on a strong note. However, Mourinho’s side will also have one eye on the all-important FA Cup final against Chelsea in a couple of weeks time.

West Ham United, on the other hand, will be focusing on maintaining their lead over Swansea and Southampton. The Hammers are currently 15th in the league table. Furthermore, head coach David Moyes will be hoping for his team to perform well against his former team as he’ll always have a point to prove when he comes up against them.

Here’s the predicted Manchester United line-up to face West Ham this midweek.

Defence

We might witness a host of changes in the team that faced Brighton earlier this month, especially with the season coming to an end whilst United sealing the second spot in the table.

While David de Gea is still expected to start in between the sticks for Manchester United this week, the central defensive partnership of Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling might see a change with the expected introduction of Victor Lindelof. The new signing will replace Marcos Rojo as the left-sided centre back.

Antonio Valencia, on the other hand, will replace Matteo Darmian, who was given an unexpected start against Brighton while Ashley Young is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup. Both Valencia and Young will be deployed as the full-backs.

Midfield

Mourinho will definitely shuffle his pack in the midfield department and one of many changes will see Ander Herrera replacing Marouane Fellaini in the central midfield position. The Spaniard, often being linked with a move out of Old Trafford this summer, will be key as United look to break the shackles of the highly porous West Ham defence.

Herrera could start alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, both of whom are expected to retain their place in the starting lineup.

Attack

Romelu Lukaku is still recovering from an ankle injury and may continue to miss games, meaning youngster Marcus Rashford will be handed the opportunity of leading the line for Manchester United this midweek.

Alexis Sanchez missed Friday’s defeat to Brighton and is likely to return to first-team action this week along with Jesse Lingard on the wider position.

You have touched some fastidious things here. Any way keep up wrinting read.
