Manchester United have a shot at the FA Cup trophy this season but Jose Mourinho will not be too pleased with the performance of his side on the whole. United are miles behind local rivals Manchester City, who are running away with the title and Mourinho might look to spend big this summer, to try and compete with the best in the league.
He is linked with some of the most exciting stars in Europe and one player they are constantly linked with is Juventus star, Paulo Dybala.
Manchester United Made Favourites To Land Dybala:
A transfer target for the biggest clubs in England, Dybala is now the talk of the town for many a rumour pages at the moment. He has previously been linked with Manchester City and Liverpool in England and it is now understood that bookmakers BetStars have slashed the odds on the Argentine moving to Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils are at the top of this list, closely followed by Manchester City and Bayern Munich. He could cost over €100m and Mourinho will have to work hard to lure him to United but can he change their fortunes?
Dybala And His Numbers:
Arguably one of the best playmakers in the game at the moment, the 24-year-old has 21 goals and four assists in just 20 league starts this season and is the most exciting star on the show in Serie A this season. He is an excellent goal scorer and is also adept at creating chances for his side, playing in a no.10 role and finding space just in front of the backline.
He has great touch and technique and is easily among the top-10 players in the world at the moment, At just 24, he has already gathered a lot of experience and with 12 international appearances as well, he is well and truly an established star at the highest level.
United have Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard playing in this role and Dybala is a massive upgrade on both names, at least on current form. He is also a long-term option and is just the kind of a signing that United need to get back into the fold.
Will Dybala Move?
It will be interesting to see if United are ready to spend over €100m on a single player, especially when they have other areas of the squad that they need to improve on. United are well stocked in the attack at the moment with Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial struggling to get into the first team.
Dybala may be slightly more established and effective than those names but he is not an immediate requirement at Old Trafford. Mourinho will want to make a statement with his signature but it is hard to see Juventus selling him any time soon.
His contract does not run out until 2022 and he is the talisman of their side. The Old Lady has no reason what so ever to let of Dybala and United are better off scouting for other players who can work on the frailties in the squad.
