In what has come as a shock to most of the footballing fraternity, Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have announced that they will part ways at the end of the season. The French tactician, who has been at Emirates for 22 years now, has given the club the best time in its history but he felt that this was the right time for him to give someone else a chance.
Wenger has given the Premier League some memorable moments and some of the greatest teams the game has seen.
He will be a huge miss for the league next season, but Arsenal are already looking at options who can replace him and some of them are exciting many Arsenal fans.
So here are three respected managers, who deserve a shot at the Emirates job:
#3 Patrick Vieira (New York City FC)
The legendary former French international, who spent close to a decade with Arsenal where he made 279 appearances winning three Premier League titles, has been Arsenal’s radar for a while now.
He has been acting as the manager for MLS outfit New York City FC since taking over the club back in January 2016. He has a win percentage of 43%, which will not excite many fans but his methods and style are close to what Wenger has been advocating and he could make a decent replacement for the French genius.
Though he has said he won’t take over, if Arsenal push for him, he’ll find it hard to turn the job down.
