Moura and Kane shine: Tottenham Hotspur players rated and slated in 2-2 draw vs Rochdale

Inconsistency has been one of the major factors behind Tottenham Hotspur’s topsy-turvy run this season. The Lilywhites have often let themselves down against supposedly weaker opponents and the match against Rochdale was another occasion when the men from North London stumbled once again. Mauricio Pochettino would be absolutely fuming as another fixture is added to his list in the already congested period. However, before the replay at Wembley, we rate the Lilywhites from this game.

Michel Vorm: 5/10

Made a couple of routine saves but was left helpless in the two goals that were conceded. A rather disappointing outing for the goalkeeper.

Kieran Trippier: 6/10

Trippier was a constant figure at both ends of the pitch as he combined his defensive solidity with some tricky runs forward too.

Toby Alderweireld: 6/10

The Belgian was a rock at the back and showed why his return was eagerly awaited by the fans and the management alike. However, Alderweireld did commit some individual errors but it should be noted that he has just returned from a long injury layoff.

Juan Foyth: 5/10

Foyth should have shown greater composure after making a bright start to the game. Eventually, he was caught out of position on some important occasions.

Danny Rose: 6/10

Rose made some good runs ahead and always tried to influence the game at the other end of the pitch. Should have been more accurate with his passing, though.

Victor Wanyama: 5/10

The Kenyan broke the play and tried to bomb up the pitch but was often ineffective as he was dispossessed and was a yard or two slower than his usual self.

Harry Winks: 7/10

A tireless display from the Englishman as his urgency and tendency to pull the strings in the midfield helped Spurs a great deal. Needs some more games to fully settle into his role though.

Moussa Sissoko: 7/10

Another player who impressed in this game with his passing and ability to take the team forward by making those surging runs ahead. Sissoko was immense in the build-up to Lucas Moura’s goal.

Lucas Moura: 8/10

Showed flashes of his talent by going past the opposition with his pace and skills on the ball. Remained composed while finishing his goal and hence capped off a satisfying performance.

Son-Heung min: 6/10

Not his best performance, as the South Korean, was unable to adjust to the pace of the game and struggled to find his footing.

Fernando Llorente: 5/10

The former Juventus man failed to impress as his rustiness, sloppy first touch and immobility without the ball left a lot to be desired.

Substitutes:

Erik Lamela: 6/10

Upped the intensity of the game with his willingness to take on players.

Dele Alli: 6/10

Won a crucial penalty whilst also wrecking havoc in the opposition half in his cameo.

Harry Kane: 9/10

The X-factor as always. Brilliant composure, confidence and courage to take the penalty and convert it.

I have been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like view. Its pretty worth enough for me.
