The Algerian international, who had a rather forgettable January transfer window, when he wanted to quit Leicester City, has emerged as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League this season. Playing on the right side of the Foxes’ midfield, he has notched up eight goals and seven assists to his name, even after missing a decent amount of games this season.
He wants to quit Leicester City and his quality this season has just shown us why. In a heavily talented league like in England, he stands as the third best midfielder this season.
#2 Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
Though prone to a lot of criticism from rivals fans, the French international has not only been one of the best players for his side but has also been one of the most productive midfielders in the country.
In his second year back in England, he nine assists and three goals to his name. He has missed a fair few games this season but has been an impact player and been close to the best midfielder in the league.
#1 Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)
The Belgian international recently made his 100th assists in Europe, more than any other player active at the moment. He has been in tremendous form this season, notching up seven goals and 14 assists in the domestic league and has been one of the many impressive players under Pep Guardiola at Etihad this season. He has been a treat to watch and has troubled every defence in the league and is easily the best midfielder on show in England at the moment.
