Forrest Gets A 9: Celtic Players Rated And Slated In Their Win Against Partick Thistle

Celtic clinched a 3-2 win over Partick Thistle at the Celtic Park earlier today to progress to the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup. James Forrest scored two goals in quick succession in the early minutes of the first-half but Kris Doolan Alan made the most of Jozo Simunovic’s error and found the back of the net for Archibald’s side.

Early in the second-half, Forrest scored his third goal which rendered Conor Sammon’s goal in the 84th minute as nothing more than a mere consolation. Here is how we rate Brendan Rodgers’ troops from their victory which keeps their hopes of a domestic treble well and truly alive.

Dorus de Vries 6/10

The custodian had no chance to deny Doolan or Sammon from finding the back of the net, but apart from that, he had little to do.

Mikael Lustig 5/10

It was a forgettable outing for Lustig as he misplaced a lot of passes and never really found his feet in the game.

Jozo Simunovic 4/10

Simunovic gifted Doolan an easy goal and his clearances and passing were in tatters.

Kristoffer Ajer 5/10

The youngster showcased that he has many loopholes to address. He sat very deep more often than not, which allowed the opposition to be onside and lost the ball frequently.

Kieran Tierney 6.5/10

Tierney galloped forward, showed a lot of industry and mustered a number of quality crosses. However, he could have catered to his defensive duties in a better manner.

Scott Brown 7/10

The midfielder took time to settle but once he did, he looked assured in the middle and read the game meticulously.

Olivier Ntcham 5/10

In the first-half, Ntcham struggled to keep the ball and despite showing some signs of revival in the second-half, he couldn’t really make his presence felt.

James Forrest 9/10

Unarguably the best player for the Bhoys on the pitch, Forrest dazzled and conjured a hat-trick. He looked sharp and popped up in the right areas time and again.

Charly Musonda 5/10

Musonda hardly got hold of the ball the way he would have liked and thus, he couldn’t engineer anything worth mentioning. It was evident that he needs more time to adapt himself to Scottish football.

Scott Sinclair 5/10

Sinclair was rusty in the final third when he should have been more clinical today. The winger might have assisted Forrest for the third goal but he surely needs to up the ante from now.

Moussa Dembele 5.5/10

The Frenchman worked hard but was unsuccessful in yielding results. He was far from being clinical and was isolated on many occasions up front.

Substitutions

Callum McGregor 5/10

McGregor replaced Musonda with 26 minutes left but was not able to get himself involved in the scheme of things.

Odsonne Edouard 5/10

The Paris Saint-Germain loanee came on for Sinclair with just over 10 minutes remaining and made some good runs to breeze past the defence of Partick Thistle.

Eboue Kouassi- NA
He replaced Forrest in the dying minutes of the game.

Its appropriate time to make some plans for the long run and it is time to be happy. I have read this post how to get viagra cheap and if I may I want to counsel you some interesting things or advice.
