Big Change Up Front: Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs Bristol City

Manchester United face Bristol City in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup and Jose will look to carry forward the momentum they have generated after the derby loss.

Team News

Jose doesn’t seem to have too many concerns regarding injuries at the moment. Nemanja Matic has been playing with a niggle for a long time and Michael Carrick is recovering from an abnormal heart rhythm that has stopped his involvement on the field this season.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Defence

Sergio Romero will be eyeing a first-team spot in the Cup competition this season. He has been safe and solid whenever he has been called upon and would want to impress again.

Victor Lindelof has improved immensely ever since his horrendous first few games for United. Partnering him would be Marcos Rojo, who has had limited game time ever since his return from injury.

Both Lindelof and Rojo like to take part in the build-up play and it would be an interesting pairing that we can witness in this game.

Matteo Darmian has seen his role being substantially reduced as Antonio Valencia has taken over in emphatic fashion and is among the best in his position in the Premier League. However, Darmian can still be a valuable player on the field and he can guard his flank extremely well. Luke Shaw deserves more minutes and we are likely to see his involvement today in the left-back spot.

Midfield

Scott McTominay has grabbed his opportunities with both hands, as the youngster has been tremendous in each game that he has played for the Red Devils. The midfielder is improving under the guidance of Nemanja Matic and has a bright future ahead of him.

Paul Pogba will get a game after missing 3 due to suspension and will be the focal point of the team.

Attack

Jesse Lingard has been influential while playing behind the striker and might get another start.

Anthony Martial and Mkhitaryan will be playing on the flanks in this game. The Armenian international has found the going tough this season and will have to grasp any opportunity that he gets with the January transfer window opening in 10 days.

Martial is likely to get a start and with his incision and dribbling skills, will be too hot to handle for the Bristol defenders.

And up top Zlatan Ibrahimovic is slated to start and will hope to get back on the scoring sheet before the festive period which will be highly crucial given Lukaku’s recent wastefulness.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved view it has generated at least $17 billion in the U.S.
