Mourinho Looks To Do A “Lukaku” Once Again?
It had been confirmed that Premier League giants Manchester United have made an offer to sign Sergi Roberto of Barcelona, with their fierce rivals Chelsea quite eager to add him to their current squad at Stamford Bridge. The 25- year old Spanish international has really impressed in recent times, due to which the clubs from England are keen on signing the high-quality player, who is currently with the La Liga giants.
Despite the best efforts of the two English giants so far, it seems that Barca are not ready to part with the defence minded superstar, after losing Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain recently.
The Red Devils recently made a new £36m bid in an attempt to add the player to their current squad, who was wanted by their fierce rivals, the Blues, for quite some time now.
However, it seems that the fee will not be enough to convince the Catalan giants to let him go.
Also, it has been added that Lionel Messi is now concerned about the whole situation, as he does not wish to see the former champions of Spain lose out on yet another big star.
Player Stats-
With about 46 appearances in the previous campaign at the club and international level, the player did well with a goal and six assists to his name, along with a successful passing rate of 88%. A defensive superstar who can contribute going forward is an asset to any manager and if he does indeed move to the Premier League, he can offer a lot more.
The player can feature as a defender and a midfielder, as and when needed by his manager. He has also featured as a winger in the previous campaign. His control on the ball is quite good, which is evident by his passing and dribbling skills. He has the vision to find his target and the Spaniard can hold on to the ball well too.
He makes 2 tackles per game on an average and his 1.5 interceptions every match shows that he is always involved in the game.

Deal Or No Deal?
Barca are struggling to regain their best form and the recent loss in the Spanish Super Cup was the proof of that. The team needs to recover and soon, if they wish to win any major titles in the days to come. On the other hand, if Roberto is not part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans at the Camp Nou, then it will be best for the club and manager to let him go and find a suitable replacement soon.
The Warning-
Barca have now issued a warning to any clubs looking to sign their star player, as they do not look keen on selling him. With a host of clubs from England and other countries eager to sign, it could be a hint that things might just not work out for them.
