Watford linked with quality Premier League winger: A brilliant first signing in the making?

Transfer story

Newly appointed Watford manager Marco Silva is keen on a reunion with Hull winger Kamil Grosicki. Grosicki was signed by Marcos Silva at his time at Hull City for £8 million from Stade Rennais in January.

The Pole has been linked with a move away after Hull were relegated from the Premier League this past season.

The now Watford boss wants Grosicki as his first signing to inject more pace into the team. Silva was impressed by Grosicki at Hull last season which has pushed him to consider making a move again while at Vicarage Road.

However, the Hornets will face stiff competition for his signature with the newly promoted side Newcastle United also being interested in the Hull winger.

Player stats

Grosicki is a very agile winger who is a regular starter in the Polish national side. The Winger featured 15 times for the Tigers last season, starting 12 of them, but failed to get on the scoresheet.

He managed to register 3 assists and created a total of 21 chances in the short spell, though. He also mustered a 46.15% take-on rate which isn’t bad at all for a winger.

At Stade Rennais, he managed to net 4 times in 16 appearances, grabbing 3 assists in the process. He also created 25 chances and completed 43.48% successful take -ons ratio.

The stats are quite good considering the fact that he came on as a substitute for Rennais more often than not (Stats via Squawka)

What’ll he offer to the team?

Grosicki’s good burst of pace can be an asset to any team he plays for. His darting runs and ability to beat defenders is what makes him worth a shot.

He has established himself as a regular for his National team owing to his attributes. Apart from his pace, Grosicki is also known to have a very good crossing ability which is a welcome gift for the strikers up front. He also has a certain knack to find a killer pass which is a very important skill to have as an attacking player.

At 28 years of age, Grosicki is enjoying his best days as a footballer and can be a good addition to Watford who don’t exactly have the best of wingers.

Worth the money?

Grosicki may be available for a fee in the region of £10 million. This makes him a cheap buy for the mid-table clubs from the Premier League. With the killer instincts that he provides, Grosicki is certain to have a lot of suitors circling around him.

Most men will find, however, that the effects how to get viagra cheap of the pill.
