Liverpool have been waiting to make their return to the Champions League and will want to now go all guns blazing in the transfer market and eventually carry that momentum into the upcoming campaign.
In order to challenge for major titles, manager Jürgen Klopp will want to get in some top players prior to the start of the action and a number of big stars have already been linked with the Reds, in recent times. The summer transfer window has been full of crazy claims and though the German manager has already signed Dominic Solanke from Chelsea and Mohamed Salah from AS Roma, the team needs more options up front.
Here are three attackers who are being with a move to Anfield, with a potential deal said to be on the cards:
#3 Alexandre Lacazette
Though Arsenal have been heavily linked to the Lyon star, there were also a lot of claims of his potential talks with Liverpool being a success and him joining the Reds. There has been no confirmation so far on the move and only time will tell, which club he might sign for. It will be an interesting transfer saga, as the 26-year old French forward will finally have to decide which team he wants to play for next term.
He has been in superb form with more than 100 goals to his name for Lyon and has impressed, both at the club and international level. It will be quite interesting to see, which English giant eventually gets him to put pen to paper, as the offers keep coming in.
#2 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Gunners have not been having the best of times, as they lost their Champions League spot after two decades. Due to this, many of their stars have been linked with a move away from the Emirates and Wenger has been trying hard to retain his full side and add more players this summer.
One such player who has been linked with Liverpool has been Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was quite impressive towards the end of last season and helped his team win yet another FA Cup title.
Though injuries have halted his progress as a player, Klopp has been a firm admirer of the England international and Liverpool have now made an offer for his services, with the Gunners looking to retain him.
#1 Kylian Mbappe
The player who has been making a name for himself and has been the talk of the town is now wanted by Liverpool as well. Once again a host of top English clubs including Arsenal, were in the hunt to take him away from Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco, though the kind of money being demanded by them is just too damn high.
This race will surely intensify with Klopp interested now and the 18-year old striker could be a great addition to the team, if the deal does indeed go through. He has been with the French side since 2013 and risen through their ranks.
With 40 league appearances and 16 goals to his name, he could be the next big star in England, for the years to come.
