Transfer Story
Thomas Lemar, the young French attacking sensation, had an amazing season with AS Monaco this past season. After a brilliant campaign under Leonardo Jardim, Lemar has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur who gave Chelsea a good run for their money and finished second in the recently concluded Premier League.
Pochettino is said to be keen on the 21-year old attacking midfielder as he looks to bolster his attack.
Barcelona and Arsenal are also said to be in the race for the young sensation from Monaco. Tottenham should act quickly if they are to have any chance of signing the talented youngster as the big guns are circling around.

What will he offer to the club?
Lemar’s amazing vision with his burst of pace is what makes him an attractive prospect in the world of football. Some of his assists include a few wonderful crosses.
The young attacker is also a very good set piece specialist and can take challenge Christian Eriksen who is already a world-class dead-ball specialist. Lemar being a CAM will be a welcome addition to Pochettino’s attack.
Along with his vision and pace, he always has an eye for goals. He has scored some audacious goals with that magical left foot of his this season. With Lamela’s spell unlikely to hit the same heights it did in the past, he could be a like for like replacement.
Worth the money?
Monaco are willing to sell Lemar for £25 million which seems like an average price for someone who isn’t a newbie nor is an established star. With the amazing skill and talent he holds, he might just be the best value player this summer. With the fee being that low, he is going to have a lot of suitors.
His high flying pace and exquisite ability to pick a killer pass is worth spending for. He has certainly impressed at the biggest stage in Europe. Registering 2 goals and 4 assists in the Champions League this season, he was one to look for along with his team-mate Kylian Mbappe.
At £25 million, Spurs need not have to think twice for a player with the talent of Lemar. It is to be seen if Mauricio Pochettino acts quickly and signs the player who is a potential superstar in the making.
