Recent reports have linked Bayern Munich winger, Douglas Costa, with a possible move away from Allianz arena to Old Trafford this summer.
The fact that the Red Devils need to bolster their wing quality is something that Mourinho is aware of. Except for Martial, the others, especially Lingard and Mkhitaryan, when deployed on the right flank have more or less provided the team with average performances.
Also with Rashford, Martial and Mkhitaryan, all of them basically being a no. 9 type of player, Mourinho should look into recruiting someone who is an out and out winger and Costa might provide the Portuguese with the answer.
The young Brazilian is also apparently frustrated at being the second fiddle to Arjen Robben, Frank Ribery and Kingsley Coman and is possibly looking for a transfer.
However, the Bavarians seem to have put a price tag of around £26m on the winger who still has three years left on his contract.

The 26-year old Brazilian has raised many eyebrows even in the relatively short stint with Bayern this season.

What’ll he bring to the Club?
With the Brazilian’s dribbling and crossing ability already being specified above, it is safe to say that he would a gem of an addition to the Red Devils.
The Bayern man is also well-known for his speed and agility which would add more venom to United’s attack upfront. Also, being 26, he would be a good investment for the club and can be a good long-term option.
Worth the Money?
With the potential that the young Brazilian possess he is more than worth the £26m. United have struggled off late to extract quality from their wingers and the former Shakhtar man does look like a good investment on that front. The Old Trafford outfit would definitely be thrilled to have the Brazilian in their squad.
Having secured Champions League football after their recent win over Ajax, they’ll need players who can help them progress deep in the showpiece event next season. And Costa is exactly that type of a player.
