After emerging unscathed from their toughest test, Chelsea will look to build on the momentum with a win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium tomorrow. The confidence will be high in both the camps as Bournemouth have now gone five matches unbeaten after an impressive 2-2 draw against Liverpool in midweek.
For Chelsea, a victory over Manchester City meant that the Blues still have a 7 point lead over their closest rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea have already amassed 33 points in 15 away games this season and will look to end Bournemouth’s unbeaten run. Antonio Conte will be looking for a perfect response from his team to build on the good work they did in the midweek.
In the team news, Chelsea will welcome back Victor Moses in the team whereas, for the Cherries, Dan Gosling is doubtful for tomorrow’s match. On that note, let’s take a look at the predicted Chelsea lineup in their away tie against Bournemouth:
Goalkeeper
The Blues have had one of the most consistent back line and custodian throughout the season which has aided a smooth run for them to the top. Thibaut Courtois has been crucial in a number of matches for Chelsea and will take up his place between the posts tomorrow.
Defence
It was reported that David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta were carrying knocks after the game against City but are expected to be fit and in the starting lineup against the Cherries. Partnering Luiz will be Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma to fill in the three central defenders spots. Azpilicueta will play as a right wing back in the absence of Victor Moses who will start from the bench tomorrow. Marcos Alonso will again take up his place as the left wing back where he has been immensely successful for the Blues.
Midfield
Cesc Fabregas has done justice to the decision of playing him ahead of Nemanja Matic and has provided creativity from deep which Chelsea lacked at times. N’golo Kante will walk into any team in the world at the moment and has been the first name on the team sheet for Chelsea this season.
Attack
Eden Hazard has scored three goals in his three previous encounters against Bournemouth and will be employed on the left flank after his exploits in the last match. Willian has been industrious in his work rate and will play on the right wing with Diego Costa deployed as the striker. The Spaniard has gone three games without a goal and he needs a goal desperately to gain back the lost confidence.
