After a dismal last season, Eden Hazard has been back to his mercurial best this season. He has been the most influential attacking player for Chelsea this season which has resulted in the Blues leading the Premier League table. This brilliant form of the Belgian has not gone unnoticed as the big sharks have started circling around the Belgian.
Real Madrid are could break the world record fee and make Eden Hazard the most expensively player ever this summer. Club president Florentino Perez wants the Belgian at the Bernabeu next season and is expected to throw in Alvaro Morata in the deal which is probably going be finalised at £100 million. Though Chelsea are all set to offer him an improvised deal which will see him earning £300,000 per week, Hazard has made up his mind and wants to leave Chelsea after helping the Blues to yet another league title.
The replacement for the Belgian could potentially be Chelsea’s biggest task this summer and here we list the three best candidates which can help Chelsea to effectively replace the attacker.
Alexis Sanchez
It is a well-known fact that the Chilean has grown frustrated with Arsenal’s form and wants to join a club which regularly challenges for top honours. He has not signed an extension to his current deal which means he has just one year left on his contract. Arsenal will be forced to sell him this summer to get some money out of their talisman otherwise the 28-year old will move on a Bosman transfer next year.
Sanchez has been one of the best players in the Premier League since his arrival from Spain and has been on a good run this season. Chelsea will do a brilliant bit of business if they can convince their rivals to sell Sanchez to them. It will be a tough task but is possible as Sanchez has admitted that he wants to stay in England and preferably London. Chelsea will arguably get an upgrade on Eden Hazard if they manage to sign Alexis Sanchez in the summer.
James Rodriguez
After a brilliant first season in Spain, the pin-up boy of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, James Rodriguez has fallen down in the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane. The talented forward has found it tough to muster regular playing time since the past year or so which has left him wanting a move as soon as possible. Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Colombian and were interested in signing him last winter.
At Chelsea, Rodriguez will get the freedom he so desperately needs to show the world his insane talent. He can flourish well under Conte and with his peak years yet to come, James Rodriguez can be a fine addition to an already stellar Chelsea squad.
Federico Bernardeschi
An unknown name in the English circuit, Bernardeschi is one of the brightest sparks in Italian football currently. The 22-year old plays for Fiorentina and has scored 10 goals in 22 appearances this season. A lot is expected of him in the future with Antonio Conte being a huge admirer of the winger. Last year, when Conte was the manager of the Italian national team, he gave Bernardeschi his full debut for the senior side.
A pretty versatile attacker, Bernardeschi has a huge future ahead of him and as Hazard arrived in London at the age of 21, the Italian too can prove to be a brilliant buy for Chelsea.
