After their promotion to the top tier from the Championship last season, Brighton & Hove Albion have certainly appeared to be a side with notable potential under the tutelage of Chris Hughton but the competition in the second half of the season is really going to stretch them and their mettle will be tested to the core. Thus, their apparent interest to sign Dembele makes perfect sense.

The 21-year-old is a prolific striker who is arguably the hottest property which Scottish Premiership has on offer. He has been a stupendous player for the Bhoys, with his clinical ability highly talked of amongst the football fraternity. So far this season in the Scottish top flight, he has scored 4 goals in 12 appearances and it goes without saying that Brendan Rodgers would not sanction the move very easily.

Hughton has not been shy of admitting that Dembele is the kind of player which his club needs at this stroke of hour. Tall, strong and lethal up front, the Frenchman creates havoc in the defence of the opposition and works well with his teammates up front. Despite his young age, he has shown immense maturity and calmness, times his runs perfectly and creates ample amount of chances for his teammates as well.

The English outfit are reportedly willing to fork out €18million to acquire the services of the hitman and it would be intriguing to see whether the Glasgow-based club let him leave for this price or not. Although Dembele doesn’t have much experience of English football, he certainly has the calibre to thrive amidst its animosity and would be an ideal addition to Hughton’s side.
