Gavi and Lewandowski in, Predicted 4-3-3 Barcelona Lineup vs Sevilla

After decimating Valencia without breaking much sweat in the Copa del Rey, Barcelona will now turn their attention towards La Liga as they await Sevilla in an away clash on Sunday.

The Catalan giants made light work of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie against Los Che, thrashing them 5-0 to progress to the last four.

After slipping up a well-established lead in the title race due to their failure to see off games, the Blaugrana now seem to have found their rhythm with a series of emphatic results. They have won four out of their last five games in all competitions ( 4 wins and 1 Draw) while scoring a whopping 20 goals in the process.

Now, they are looking to add Sevilla as their next victim to their relentless attacking style of play. Sitting third in the league table and just four points off the top spot, Barcelona will be looking to put pressure on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, who are ahead of them in the title race.

The Catalan giants have a great opportunity to climb up a place or narrow the point gap further since Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will be competing against each other this weekend.

Sevilla are unbeaten in their last four games, but they have a mountainous task to prevent the unstoppable Barcelona.

Team News

Apart from the long-term absentees, Hansi Flick can summon a mostly fit squad against Sevilla, with Gavi also expected to make his return, having missed the previous game due to concussion.

Dani Olmo also recovered from his injury and featured as a substitute in the Copa del Rey win against Valencia.

Predicted Barcelona Lineup vs Sevilla ( 4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

Wojciech Szczesny should continue as Barcelona’s No.1 after clearly dethroning Inaki Pena.

Defence

Ronald Araujo is expected to return to the starting 11 after Eric Garcia started ahead of him in the Cup game against Valencia. Meanwhile, Pau Cubarsi will continue to be an integral member of the backline. Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde should feature as the full-backs.

Midfield

Frenkie de Jong might make room for Gavi, who is returning from an injury, despite the Dutcman’s impressive form of late. Pedri will continue to pull the strings while Fermin Lopez will provide the edge with his goal-scoring nous.

Attack

Ferran Torres had a sensational game against Valencia, scoring a hat-trick, but he might have to make room for talisman striker Robert Lewandowski. Meanwhile, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal will control the flanks.
