Aston Villa are reportedly keeping tabs on Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz ahead of the January transfer window.
The Turkiye international is understood to be happy at the moment at Juventus, with the club keen to keep hold of him. There is interest from several top European clubs, and while Juventus are under no pressure to sell the winger, there is a price for the player.
According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside, the Turin giants are ready to open negotiations for Kenan Yildiz starting from €80milion amid interest from Aston Villa. Villa’s Premier League rivals such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keen on the teenage prodigy’s services.
Yildiz has enjoyed a solid start to the 2024/25 season, registering three goals and two assists in 15 league appearances. He has also performed well in the Champions League, bagging a goal in five games.
The report adds Villa and their Premier League rivals, as well as Borussia Dortmund, have recently been to watch the Turkish youngster in Juventus’ matches against AC Milan and Lecce.
Kenan Yildiz to Aston Villa—Right move?
The Villans’ form in the Premier League have dipped in the last couple of months, although they remain only two points from fourth-place Manchester City.
They do could well by refreshing their attacking options, with the likes of Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey and Jaden Philogene blowing hot and hold. Morgan Rogers and Jhon Duran have been consistent with their productivity, but the Villans do need a bit extra spice in attack to truly challenge for a top-four spot.
Kenan Yildiz has emerged as a target for the Midlands club. A left-winger by trade, the German-born Turk can also operate through the middle as a No.10 or a false 9. The 19-year-old could prove to be a solid, long-term addition to Villa’s attacking force. He could come in at Villa Park and make an immediate impact also, whilst adding depth to the squad.
The former Bayern Munich man is an immense talent with a bright future ahead of him, and Unai Emery could groom him into a world-class winger for Villa. However, Juve’s €80milion asking price may prove to be a stumbling block for Emery’s club. So, they will have to sell first before splashing big for a prodigious talent like Yildiz.
That said, it will be interesting to see whether Villa can lure Yildiz away from Juventus next year or not.
