Manchester City rode on a brilliant Phil Foden brace to romp their way to a record-breaking 4th consecutive Premier League title win.
Arsenal did what they had to do, overcoming a resilient Everton side 2-1, but City simply were too good for West Ham and any hope of an upset went up in smoke as Foden came up with a scintillating top-corner strike from distance within two minutes of kick-off. He went on and added another one to his kitty, guiding the ball home from a Jeremy Doku cut-back.
The Hammers, in the form of Mohammed Kudus, offered themselves and the Arsenal fans a glimpse of a revival with a terrific overhead kick to make the score 2-1 but as has often been the case in recent times, Rodri came up with a clutch goal to calm the nerves and make sure of the win.
Given the stakes on the final day, the emotions were understandably running high, not only on the field, but in the realm of social media as well. And given the elation and heartbreak on either side of the spectrum the reactions elicited also were extreme. Let us take a quick glance at some of the commentary on X (formerly Twitter) as things unfolded on the final day.

For Man City to be as dominant as they have been under Guardiola with those 115 charges hanging over them means the Premier League is facing the biggest scandal in its history.
