Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Jadon Sancho this summer, as Erik ten Hag plots a brutal clearout.
After a successful debut season at Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag wants to carry the momentum into next year and is targeting an overhaul with the focus being on a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and marquee striker. With a takeover of Manchester United dragging on, the Dutch tactician and the club chiefs are now exploring alternative ways to raise funds for their summer transfer activity.
According to The Daily Mail, Jadon Sancho is among 13 Man United players up for sale, with the club willing to listen to offers for him of around £45m in their bid to raise transfer funds for Ten Hag to reinvest.
Sancho, 23, has struggled to make the desired impact at Man United since arriving from Borussia Dortmund for £73m in the summer of 2021. He has racked up 79 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and assisting six times.
After a stop-start 2022/23 campaign, Ten Hag has seemingly lost patience with Sancho. The English winger, who has a contract until 2026, could be sacrificed this summer if the right offer arrives for his services, the report adds.

Tottenham have been linked with Sancho over the last few weeks. In Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have a new manager in place as they look to rebuild their squad after a disappointing 2022-23 season. As a result, this may a good opportunity for them to pursue Sancho, who could fit well into Postecoglou’s expected attacking 4-3-3 system.
If Spurs show concrete interest in signing Sancho, Man United could offer a plan to take the English winger as part of a swap deal for Harry Kane, who is Ten Hag’s No.1 striker target.

Sancho might prefer the possibility of staying in England if he were to leave Man United this summer. He could be tempted to move to Chelsea if Pochettino assures him of a big role and regular playing time. The England international can play on both flanks and he’d be a really good fit for Chelsea.

Jadon Sancho was one of the stars of the Bundesliga before United signed him from Dortmund in the summer of 2021. He has struggled for form and consistency since moving to the Red Devils under three different managers.
Having lost his place in the England squad, Sancho would be desperate to get back into Gareth Southgate’s plans again ahead of the 2024 European Championships. Thus, the prospect of re-signing for Dortmund would be tempting for the 23-year-old.
Sancho had 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances for Dortmund, demonstrating that he is capable of thriving against any opposition in the Bundesliga. If The Black and Yellows can build the attack around him, Sancho could regain his lost mojo and help them challenge Bayern Munich for the league title next season.
