AS Roma are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Tammy Abraham in January.
The ex-Chelsea man’s form has been a concern this season, managing just four goals in 20 appearances for AS Roma in all competitions so far. This has seen the striker miss out on a place in the 26-man England squad for the World Cup in Qatar, with manager Gareth Southgate picking Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson ahead of him.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, AS Roma are even open to selling Tammy Abraham as early as January. The Serie A club will consider suitable offers for the England international, with director Tiago Pinto keen to raise funds to improve other areas of the field.
Abraham, 25, took Serie A by storm after leaving Chelsea last summer, scoring 27 goals and supplying a further six assists in 53 matches across all competitions during his maiden season with Roma. He scored nine times as Jose Mourinho’s side won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League.
However, the Englishman has failed to replicate such prolific form in the early stages of the ongoing season. After the 1-1 draw with Torino, he was criticised by Mourinho in the post-match interview, with Roma planning to move on Abraham if a suitable offer arrives, the report adds.

#Manchester United
Manchester United have struggled for goals this season, managing only 20 in 14 Premier League games. With Anthony Martial enduring an injury-hit campaign, Marcus Rashford more suited to play on the left than centrally and Cristiano Ronaldo desperate to leave the club after giving a fiery interview to Piers Morgan over the weekend, Erik ten Hag could certainly do with a new striker.
Tammy Abraham, in that aspect, would fit the bill perfectly at Man United. Abraham has good experience of playing in the Premier League with Chelsea and Swansea City, and even though he has endured an underwhelming time in front of goal in Roma colours this term, Ten Hag could help him rediscover his scoring touch.
At 25, the England international is entering the peak years of his career and a move to Old Trafford to work under an astute tactician in Ten Hag could benefit him a lot.
#Chelsea
Just like Man United, Chelsea have also not produced goals at a consistent rate this season. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Armando Broja and Raheem Sterling have contributed only five goals so far, which is a big concern for Graham Potter.
As a result, it won’t be a surprise if Potter takes a dip in the transfer market for a new goal-scorer to bolster his attacking ranks. That’s where someone with Abraham’s profile could massively help Chelsea.
Tammy Abraham has not burned any bridges with the Stamford Bridge outfit after leaving last year, and having arguably not gotten enough opportunities in his first spell, he could be determined to re-join if Chelsea come calling once again.

Unai Emery has enjoyed an excellent start to life in charge of Aston Villa, winning his first two Premier League games against Manchester United and Brighton. He is likely to be given a decent budget in the January transfer window and the Spaniard could look to bring in a new striker to add more goals to his side.
Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings are set to be key members of Emery’s squad in the second half of the season, although bringing in another striker to cover and compete with them could help take the Villans to another level.
This is where Tammy Abraham could potentially come in as a January addition, providing more firepower and depth to Villa’s attack. The 25-year-old enjoyed his time at Villa Park on loan from Chelsea during the 2018/19 Championship season, bagging 25 goals in 37 appearances and helping them secure promotion to the English top-flight.
Thus, securing a deal to bring Abraham back to Villa Park could be a very smart long-term investment for Villa.
