Two Changes In Attack: 3-4-3 West Ham United Predicted XI vs Liverpool

West Ham United travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Wednesday, hoping to get all three points in the Premier League.

The Hammers look to have turned a corner in recent games, winning two out of their last three games. David Moyes was left frustrated at the weekend after his side failed to collect all three points against Southampton having dominated the majority of the game at St. Mary’s Stadium.

On a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions, Moyes’ side will look to provide a stiff test to Liverpool, who are coming off the back of a huge 1-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend.

West Ham Team News

Craig Dawson and Kurt Zouma missed the trip to Southampton with a dead leg and illness, respectively and Moyes was not not forthcoming on both their chances of returning. But he did mention Zouma training before the fixture which probably puts him in a better position to feature in the squad.

Maxwel Cornet is recovering from a thigh strain, but Nayef Aguerd remains a long-term absentee with an ankle problem.

Predicted West Ham Lineup vs Liverpool (3-4-3)

Lukasz Fabianski has performed really well for the Hammers in recent years and deserves to keep his place in goal. He will need to produce a top performance to earn an unlikely clean sheet at Liverpool.

Defence

We could once again see a 3-man backline to cover for the injuries to key defensive personnel.

There is a chance that Kurt Zouma might play after a late fitness test but given the quick turnaround in fixtures, Moyes might decide against risking him.

We could then once again see a 3-man backline comprising of Ben Johnson, Thilo Kehrer and Aaron Cresswell in the West Ham lineup.

Midfield

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek are seasoned campaigners for the Hammers, and should form the double pivot in midfield in the West Ham lineup once again with the duo looking fixture and rotation-proof. They have to be on their A-game with against a Liverpool team who will be playing with their tails up.

If Moyes persists with the wing-back system, we are likely to see Vladimir Coufal and Emerson Palmieri being stationed on the right and left respectively in the West Ham lineup.

Attack

Pablo Fornals has often proven to be a thorn for Liverpool in the past and could get the nod ahead of Said Benrahma on the left in the West Ham lineup. Jarrod Bowen may not have hit the high standards yet but he still is a player who can produce things out of nothing. The Englishman should retain his place on the right flank.

Given his pace and physicality during counter-attacks, Michail Antonio may be considered in place of Gianluca Scamacca up front for West Ham.
