Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to the Gtech Stadium to face Brentford on Saturday, aiming to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Wanderers were thrashed 4-0 by Midlands rivals Leicester City last time out. They are managerless and struggling for form, with four defeats in the last five games and find themselves 19th in the table.
To avoid being cut adrift further, interim coach Steve Davis must ensure his side put a run together starting from the game at Brentford.
Sasa Kalajdzic, Chiquinho, Pedro Neto and Raul Jimenez remain sidelined for Wolves, while Toti Gomes is doubtful after missing the last two matches with a slight adductor strain with Matchweek 14 slated to be his return week.
Diego Costa picked up a knock but the manager is hopeful of having him available.
Goalkeeper
Jose Sa should continue starting in between the sticks for Wolves regardless of conceding four goals against Leicester City. The Portuguese shot-stopper will be desperate to shut the shop as quickly as possible at Brentford.
Defence
Steve Davis has opted to start young Hugo Bueno at left-back in recent games and is set to go with him again ahead of Rayan Ait-Nouri. Jonny Castro should retain his place at right-back.
Nathan Collins and Max Kilman will look to do a lot better as a pair when facing Ivan Toney and co. than they did against Leicester City last time out. If Wolves are to buy a clean sheet, Collins and Kilman must contain Toney by hook or crook.
Midfield
Ruben Neves will play the holding midfield role for Wolves against Brentford. Joao Moutinho will act as the No.8, driving forward with the ball when given opportunities and influencing play in the final third.
Matheus Nunes will be the most advanced midfielder for the visitors, hoping to pull the strings and link play with his teammates in the Wolves’ engine room. The understanding between Neves, Nunes and Moutinho could be pivotal for Wolves in dominating possession.
Attack
Adama Traore will start on the right flank, while Goncalo Guedes should replace Daniel Podence on the left side of the Wolves attack. Diego Costa is yet to open his account in five games for Wolves and could be dropped, as a result, with Hwang Hee-chan leading the line against the Bees instead.
Costa could be an option from the bench if needed during the game, as the Wanderers aim to bounce back to winning ways in west London.
