Roca & Adams In Midfield: 4-2-3-1 Leeds United Predicted Lineup vs Everton

Leeds United will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League on Tuesday night, when they host Everton at Elland Road.

The Peacocks lost 1-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, which was their first defeat of the season. Yet, a bright overall start to the 2022/23 campaign means Jesse Marsch’s side are fifth on the table with seven points from four games.

Marsch will be demanding an immediate response from his boys against a struggling Everton side at home, where Leeds United have won all three of their games across all formats this term.

Leeds United Team News

Liam Cooper sustained a minor calf injury in the Carabao Cup win over Barnsley that kept him out of the Brighton game. He remains doubtful, while Junior Firpo and Luke Ayling are set to join training this week.

Patrick Bamford has missed Leeds’ last two league games against Chelsea and Brighton respectively with an adductor injury, but is nearing full fitness ahead of the clash with Everton.

Predicted Leeds United lineup vs Everton (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper

Illan Meslier is expected to be in goal for Leeds United after starting the last four matches.

Defence

Ahead of Meslier, Jesse Marsch is likely to stick with the same backline of Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk in the Leeds United lineup.

Koch and Llorente will start at the heart of the Leeds defence, with Kristensen and Struijk operating as full-backs. The entire unit will need to defend well and earn the right of keeping a clean sheet against Everton.

Midfield

Marc Roca will start alongside Tyler Adams in the middle of the park in the Leeds United lineup. The duo will look to take control of the game as quickly as possible, thus, keeping things ticking in the engine room for the Whites.

Brenden Aaronson has been one of the most in-form players for the Whites in the early stages of the new season and the American should reprise his usual no. 10 role, pulling the strings in the final third. His passing and vision could be key in unlocking the Everton door.

Attack

Jack Harrison and Daniel James will likely be the two wide attackers for Leeds. The duo will look to create all kinds of problems for the Everton backline with their pace and directness. Rodrigo’s ability to drop deep and create space for Harrison and James to exploit will also be an asset for the hosts, with the Spanish striker set to lead the line for Jesse Marsch’s side.

Luis Sinisterra also has a strong case for inclusion which might see Daniel James sit out.

Patrick Bamford could be an option from the bench if he recovers fully from his thigh injury.
