Richarlison has reportedly completed his medical as a new Tottenham Hotspur player in Brazil, signing a contract until 2027. Spurs have shown great ambition in this summer transfer window, completing the signings of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma so far. Manager Antonio Conte is preparing his club for Champions League football next season and remains keen on more signings.
According to Tottenham’s official website, the club has confirmed the signing of Richarlison from Everton, subject to a work permit. The club have reportedly agreed to pay Everton £50million, which could rise up to £60million with potential add-ons.
Richarlison, 25, has made 152 appearances for Everton since arriving from Watford in the summer of 2018, scoring 53 goals. The Brazilian international played a key role in the Toffees’ great escape from the jaws of relegation last season, as he netted 11 times and added a further five assists in 33 games.

He will move to the north London side with plenty of Premier League experience, having bagged 48 goals in 173 Premier League appearances for Watford and Everton.
Richarlison to Tottenham – How will he fit in?
Tottenham’s capture of Richarlison from Everton is part of boss Antonio Conte’s plans to add some quality depth in attack in a bid to compete for the Premier League title in the upcoming campaign. Spurs, after all, needed a forward who can reduce the workload of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, and Conte would believe he has got that in the form of Richarlison.
A left-winger by trade, Richarlison is more than capable of playing off the right and down the middle, as demonstrated by his time at Everton. The Brazilian’s directness will be a breath of fresh air, and his flair and prowess on the ball makes him an ideal fit in Conte’s system. He will bring a different dimension to Tottenham’s front line, adding much-needed competition within the squad.
Kane and Son already provide plenty of goals and creativity for Tottenham, but they could get sufficient rest from next season following the arrival of Richarlison, who from a tactical perspective can fill in down the middle for Kane when required. With neither Steven Bergwijn nor Lucas Moura convincing enough as quality back-ups, Conte’s idea to bring Richarlison makes complete sense.
The ex-Everton star, though, may still have to compete with new acquisition Ivan Perisic for a place in Conte’s starting XI. But at the age of 25, Richarlison has time on his side and the potential to become a valuable asset for the north London outfit in the years to come.
That being said, Richarlison joining Tottenham in a £60million deal represents a fantastic move for all the parties involved.
