Sancho, Ronaldo & Rashford In Attack: 4-3-3 Man United Predicted XI vs Leicester City

Manchester United’s first game after the international break will see them welcome Leicester City to Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils, who were eliminated from the Champions League by Atletico Madrid before the international break, will continue to battle with Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham for fourth place in the league standings.

The Mancunian club won their recent Premier League game 3-2 against Tottenham and interim manager Ralf Rangnick will hope his side produces a top performance to beat Leicester City, who occupy the 10th spot in the table.

Manchester United Team News

Manchester United have been dealt with a big blow ahead of their clash against Leicester City with Edinson Cavani set to miss the fixture after sustaining a calf injury on international duty with Uruguay. The veteran striker limped out of Uruguay’s win over Chile on Tuesday after just 29 minutes.

Meanwhile, injury scares over Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane vanished after the duo featured in France’s 5-0 thumping of South Africa in a friendly fixture. Luke Shaw missed the last three games but was involved for England during the international break.

Predicted Man United Lineup vs Leicester City (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

David de Gea has been the club’s undisputed first-choice in goal this season and is expected to start in the Man United lineup against Leicester City.

Defence

The Red Devils have conceded six goals in their last three league games, so interim boss Ralf Rangnick will hope his side shows more resilience while defending against Leicester City.

The centre-back slots could be occupied by Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane, who captained France to a 5-0 victory over South Africa in an international friendly on Tuesday evening. Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw remain the two favourites to occupy the full-back slots in the Man United lineup.

Midfield

As for the midfield, Rangnick could go with Nemanja Matic in the no.6 role. The Serbian will be tasked to screen the Man United backline and dictate the tempo of the game against the Foxes.

Fresh from helping Portugal qualify for the World Cup 2022 with a brace and celebrating that with a bumper new club contract, Bruno Fernandes will be raring to make a mark for Man United at the weekend. The Portuguese is a certainty to start along with Fred as two advanced 8s, offering creativity and tenacity in the middle of the park.

Attack

With Edinson Cavani set to miss out with a calf problem, Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the natural option to lead the Red Devils’ attack against Brendan Rodgers’ side. The Portuguese superstar scored an eye-catching hat-trick in Man United’s 3-2 victory over Spurs and will be raring to get himself on the score sheet again.

Jadon Sancho has cemented his place on the left in the Man United lineup with a series of impressive displays over the last couple of months. Marcus Rashford looks likely to occupy the right-wing role, and while he hasn’t been in great form this year, his pace and movement should cause problems to the Leicester City backline.
