Rashford and Ronaldo Up Top – Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Norwich City

Manchester United will travel to Carrow Road on Saturday to face Norwich City in the Premier League, and will hope to continue their rise up the league table.

Ralf Rangnick provided the fringe players with some playing time in the 1-1 draw with Young Boys in the Champions League at Old Trafford on Wednesday after the Red Devils had already secured a place in the last 16.

All focus now shifts on the weekend’s game at Norwich, as Ralf Rangnick and co. look to build on last league game’s performance and result against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United Team News

Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani have returned to training with the squad and could be available for selection next week. Anthony Martial missed the games against Crystal Palace and Young Boys with a knee problem and remains doubtful for the weekend fixture.

Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka suffered knocks to his knee and wrist after colliding with the advertising hoardings at pitch-side at the stroke of full-time against Young Boys. He was stretchered off down the tunnel after the game, making him a big doubt for the trip to Norwich.

Goalkeeper

David de Gea is Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper and he will be confident heading into this game off the back of a clean-sheet victory against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Defence

Manchester United were much better defensively against Crystal Palace than they have been over the last couple of months. The back four of Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Alex Telles should be the preferred combination at the back.

Dalot and Telles came in for the Reds’ back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Palace, and the full-backs’ attacking endeavours will be crucial in breaking Norwich down.

Midfield

Fred and Scott McTominay worked very well in midfield against Palace, with the former scoring a wonderful long-range winner. Having been rested for the Young Boys game, the pair will be fresh to face Norwich City and should make the Manchester United lineup.

Ahead of Fred and McTominay, Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes will look to provide flair and creativity to the Red Devils’ attack. Their incisive passing, vision and movement could be crucial in unlocking the Canaries backline on Saturday.

Attack

Cristiano Ronaldo showed last weekend that he’s more than capable of operating in Rangnick’s high-intensity, counter-pressing system. The Portuguese superstar will be raring to get himself on the score-sheet against a shaky Norwich side.

Marcus Rashford could complete the Manchester United lineup and start alongside Ronaldo. Rashford’s pace and directness can cause a lot of problems to the Canaries backline.
