Newcastle United Keen On Ex-Arsenal Superstar: Massive Option For Them

Juventus are reportedly exploring the possibility of offloading outcast Aaron Ramsey, with Newcastle United among a few Premier League clubs interested in signing him.

Aaron Ramsey, 30, has failed to make the desired impact at Juventus since joining on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2019. A spate of injuries has not helped the midfielder’s cause in Turin, with the Welsh international falling out of favour under Max Allegri. He has made just five appearances across all competitions for the Serie A so far this season.

According to Goal, Newcastle United are interested in bringing back Aaron Ramsey to the Premier League, as Juventus remain eager to get the midfielder off their books in January. However, the Turin giants recognise that his salary of over €7 million could be a sticking point in selling the player next year, the report adds.

The Welshman has made a total of 70 appearances for Juventus since arriving in Italy two years, posting six goals. During his two years with the Italian club so far, he has won three major honours, including the Serie A title.

Cash-rich Newcastle United have appointed Eddie Howe as the successor to Steve Bruce to try and save the club from relegation. Ramsey would undoubtedly add a different dimension to Newcastle’s attack while his volumes of Premier League experience could go a long way in helping the club avoid relegation. This is one deal the Magpies should look to get over the line in January.
