Keita and Thiago Ruled Out- Team News, Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup vs Brentford

Liverpool will face Brentford away from home this Saturday in what could be a tricky Premier League away game for the Reds.

Jürgen Klopp’s side have been one of the form teams in the Premier League so far this season as they have dropped points in just one game out of five.

Brentford picked up a gritty 2-0 win away at Wolves in their previous game, and will hope to upset Liverpool at home.

The Bees put in a stunning display against Arsenal, buoyed by their home fans, and they will hope for something similar against Liverpool.

Team News

Naby Keita and Thiago Alcantara have been ruled out, with the latter not expected to feature until October at least.

Roberto Firmino has returned to training, and his involvement will be assessed closer to the game. He is more likely to play against Porto in next midweek’s Champions League game, however.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is back after his illness, and the full-back should feature at right-back.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Brentford

Goalkeeper

Alisson Becker made some good saves against Crystal Palace, and he should return to the Liverpool lineup after being rested against Norwich City in the EFL Cup.

Defenders

Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip are expected to start at the heart of the defence. The duo did not play in the EFL Cup game, and will be fresh for the league clash.

James Milner did well against Crystal Palace in the last league game, but Alexander-Arnold should return to the Liverpool lineup at right-back. Andy Robertson could play as the left-back.

Midfield

With Thiago and Naby Keita out, and Harvey Elliot unavailable, James Milner could get a start in midfield. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are expected to complete the midfield three.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Brentford

Milner’s experience and robustness could come in handy against Brentford, so he is likely to get the preference over Curtis Jones. He has recovered from his illness and could hence start.

Attack

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are expected to play as the two wingers, and Diogo Jota is likely to start centrally.

It’s unlikely Firmino will start, but he could get a few minutes off the bench if he is fit enough for the game.
