HUGE: Twitter Goes Into Meltdown As Cristiano Ronaldo Links To Man City Emerge

Twitter went into meltdown yesterday after an exclusive report by L’Equipe revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to engineer a move to Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Sky Blues have already signed Jack Grealish for a British record fee of £100m. And throughout the summer have been linked with a search for Sergio Aguero’s successor. And the most prominent name on that list has been that of Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane.

The Premier League marksman has been vocal in his admiration for City and his wish to make a move this summer is public knowledge. But Daniel Levy has stood firm and is determined not to budge in the face of any massive City bids for his prized possession.

This has led to various reports of City looking at alternative options to fortify their goalscoring options but the news of Jorge Mendes trying to maufacture a move for his superstar client Cristiano Ronaldo has certainly stirred the pot nicely in the footballing world.

Most City fans are on board with the idea of the mercurial Portuguese putting on a Sky Blue shirt and some are even foreshadowing the future with tongue firmly in cheek.

But the shocking report has put the cat among the pigeons in the Manchester United fanbase with the supporters over on the red side of Manchester having difficulty to accept even the slimmest chance of such a move panning out.

The GOAT debate involving Messi also could not be far away when we speak of Cristiano Ronaldo.

People couldn’t resist a dig at the expense of the special bond Sir Alex Ferguson and Ronaldo share and the time the former United manager waited expectantly for the Portuguese after their Euro triumph in 2016.

But a few optimists in the fan base have not given up hope yet and still yearn to see him back as a Red Devil.
