Mane to Start: Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup vs West Bromwich Albion

After an emphatic win over arch-rivals Manchester United on Thursday night, Liverpool will face relegated West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. The Reds will want to take all three points from the Hawthorns in their bid to finish in the top four in the Premier League.

The win against Manchester United has taken Jurgen Klopp’s men four points off Chelsea, and they could reduce that gap to a point later today.

Leicester City and Chelsea, who are currently third and fourth, play each other in the Premier League after their FA Cup final clash, which gives Liverpool an even bigger chance of finishing in the Champions League spots.

The last three meetings between Liverpool and West Brom in the Premier League have ended in draws, with Liverpool’s last win in the Premier League against the Baggies coming in 2017.

Liverpool Team News

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp didn’t reveal any new injuries following the match against Manchester United. The likes of Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Ozan Kabak, Ben Davies, and Jordan Henderson will surely miss the game. James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to the squad for Sunday’s game.

Let’s take a look at the possible Liverpool lineup for the game against West Bromwich Albion:

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs West Brom

Goalkeeper

Alisson Becker should keep his place in the Liverpool lineup.

Defence

The young defensive duo of Rhys Williams and Nathaniel Phillips had a decent game against Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp should persist with them at the back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was exceptional against the Red Devils and he will hope to continue that form at right-back, while Andrew Robertson should start on the opposite side.

Midfield

Jurgen Klopp could continue with the same midfield trio of Fabinho, Thiago and Georginio Wijnaldum for the game against West Bromwich Albion. Curtis Jones could be an option for Klopp if he wants to rest one of the three midfielders.

Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs West Brom

Klopp could maybe bring on James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Naby Keita off the bench if they are available for selection, and give his first-choice midfielders a rest.

Attack

Liverpool’s front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Diogo Jota all got on the scoresheet in the 4-2 win over Manchester United.

Klopp could retain two of the three for the game against West Brom as he may give Sadio Mane a start, who seemed unhappy following Thursday night’s win. The impressive Jota will be an option on the bench.
