Man United Receive Huge Boost In Transfer Market: How Can Ole Accommodate Potential New Signing

The imminent pursuit of Jadon Sancho by Manchester United is yet again going to dominate the headlines throughout the summer transfer window. The Borussia Dortmund winger is a top summer priority for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is aiming to bolster his attacking arsenal as he continues his rebuild.

Recently, it was stated that Manchester United are one of the clubs that could make a move for Erling Haaland. But, given the clamour for the striker and the apparent demands made by the player’s entourage, it will be very difficult to see him being prised away from the club.

So, Manchester United will do well to focus on their long-term target Jadon Sancho and formulate a deal which will finally see the Englishman return to these shores.

And what will come as a boost to United, as per reports in Manchester Evening News, Borussia Dortmund CEO Watzke specified that “If an extraordinary offer comes in for him, we will discuss it with the player and his agent, as always. Nonetheless, I am very sure that the transfer market will only run to a very limited extent this summer”

So if the club indeed manage to snap up the attacker, who will make way in the starting lineup?

4-2-1-3 (Formation)

In their preferred formation, United will benefit from having the balance offered by a naturally right-sided player. Jadon Sancho is the perfect addition to the current United squad. He is capable of playing on both flanks.

Mason Greenwood, on the other hand, is more than capable of filling in at striker or on the right. And, Sancho is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three.

With the current squad, Solskjaer will have the option to rotate Martial and Greenwood in the striker position. They can be accompanied by Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho on the left and right-wing respectively.

Bruno Fernandes as usual will play in the attacking midfielder role, floating around the opposition’s half. Paul Pogba and Fred are likely to be the preferred choices in the central midfield if Ole decides he is happy with the options at his disposal.

Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be the long-term fullback pairing for the club while Harry Maguire is expected to be partnered by Victor Lindelof, till the time United go and sign a big name defensive reinforcement.
