Liverpool endured their sixth consecutive home loss in the Premier League on Sunday, when they fell to relegation-threatened Fulham at Anfield.
Jürgen Klopp’s side will have to pick up the pieces quickly as they have a tough test in the form of RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The Round of 16 tie will take place at Anfield, and the Merseyside outfit have a 2-0 advantage from the first leg. The Reds have lost at home in the Champions League once this season when they fell to Atalanta.
Klopp will hope that his side doesn’t let their two-goal advantage slip against the German side as their form at home in recent weeks hasn’t exactly been something to be proud of.
Liverpool Team News
Defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, and Joe Gomez will miss the game against Leipzig, as will captain and midfielder Jordan Henderson. There is some good news on the injury front for Jurgen Klopp, as Ozan Kabak – who missed the game against Fulham, could be fit for Wednesday night’s game against RB Leipzig.

Roberto Firmino, however, has missed training and might not feature due to a knee injury. Let’s take a look at the possible Liverpool lineup for the game against Leipzig.
Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs RB Leipzig
Goalkeeper
Alisson should start in goal for the Reds against RB Leipzig. The Brazilian will need to put in a top performance as Leipzig are expected to attack and press from kick-off.
Defence
The return of Ozan Kabak means that he will go straight into the Liverpool lineup for the Champions League tie. He could play alongside Fabinho in the heart of the Liverpool defence.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was a second-half substitute in the last Premier League game, but he could start at right-back, with Andrew Robertson holding his place at left-back in the Liverpool lineup.
Midfield
Thiago was an unused substitute last time around, but he could come into the Liverpool lineup in place of James Milner.
Curtis Jones could also return to the Liverpool XI to add some energy and drive from the middle of the park, while Georginio Wijnaldum could retain his place in midfield. Naby Keita is another option for Klopp in the middle.
Attack
Sadio Mane could play on the left side of the attack, while Mohamed Salah could get a start up front in Firmino’s absence. Diogo Jota is yet to find the back of the net after returning from his injury, and he could complete the Liverpool lineup, by playing on the right.
