Predicted 3-4-2-1 Chelsea Lineup vs Liverpool: Werner and Chilwell to Start

Chelsea will travel to Anfield to square off against Liverpool in a vital Premier League match as the race for a top-four finish heats up.

The Blues are unbeaten in Premier League under Thomas Tuchel, and will be confident ahead of their visit to Anfield. Tuchel’s side have been solid at the back, but have not been able to get the job done upfront as they have struggled for goals.

Liverpool like to press under Jurgen Klopp, but their defence has been blighted by injuries. Tuchel will know that they are there for the taking, so we could have a pretty entertaining and end-to-end game as both teams will attack from the word go.

Chelsea Team News

Thiago Silva has been declared fit for the match against Liverpool, and his experience will be vital against the Reds. However, there are concerns over Callum Hudson-Odoi, who was substituted at half time during the previous game.

Predicted Chelsea Lineup (3-4-2-1)

Goalkeeper

Eduardo Mendy will keep his place and guard Chelsea’s goal against Liverpool.

Defence

Even though Thiago Silva is back in the training, Tuchel might consider Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, and Antonio Rudiger for the back three. The trio have been impressive in recent games, and have been hard to break down.

Chelsea have kept an incredible four clean-sheets in their last five games in all competitions, so Liverpool won’t find it easy. They have been fairly blunt themselves in the final third.

Midfield

Reece James, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, and Ben Chilwell will play as the midfield quartet. It will be a real fight on both wings, as Liverpool’s full-back duo are not going to just sit back and soak up the pressure.
Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs Liverpool

James’ strong physical play will be significant against Mane and Andy Roberson, who likes making the overlapping runs from left-back. Further, into it, the midfield battles could decide the result of the game.

Forwards

Mason Mount and Timo Werner will play as the attacking midfielders. Chelsea’s in-form striker Olivier Giroud should start up top.

Mount and Werner will have to show good work ethic off the ball as they can ill-afford to allow Fabinho and Thiago dictate play from their own half.
