Mariano To Lead The Line: 4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup vs Inter Milan

Real Madrid travel to Italy to face Inter Milan in an important fixture in Group B of the Champions League. Los Blancos are third in their group, while Inter are fourth as unfancied Borussia Monchengladbach and Shakhtar Donetsk are above the two European giants currently.

Madrid will need a win to keep up with the top two and have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition. The Spanish club won the home fixture against Inter 3-2 but drew their most recent fixture, a La Liga game against Villarreal.

Let’s take a look at the predicted Real Madrid lineup for the game against Inter Milan.

Team News

Real Madrid have numerous key players out for this important game against Inter Milan. Captain Sergio Ramos, strikers Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic, defenders Eder Militao and Alvaro Odriozola, and midfielder Federico Valverde will all miss the match against Inter.

Goalkeeper

Thibaut Courtois should start in goal for the Whites against Inter Milan.

Defence

The absence of Sergio Ramos means that Nacho will continue in his place at the back, alongside Raphael Varane. Dani Carvajal should play at right-back, while Ferland Mendy could keep his left-back slot ahead of Marcelo in the Real Madrid lineup.

Young defender Víctor Chust is part of the travelling party and he will have a place on the bench. Lucas Vazquez is another option at right-back for manager Zinedine Zidane.

Midfield

Casemiro should return to the Real Madrid lineup and play alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. The likes of Isco and Martin Odegaard are options if Zidane wants to play with one attacking player alongside Kroos and Casemiro.

Attack

Rodrygo scored in the home fixture against Inter Milan, netting the decisive third goal. He could be an option on the right ahead of Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez for Zidane.

Eden Hazard will surely start on the opposite wing in the Real Madrid lineup and will be key to Madrid’s attack on Wednesday night.

Benzema and Jovic, Zidane’s options up front, are both unavailable, which means that Mariano will retain his place in the Real Madrid lineup. He started against Villarreal and scored his first goal of the season.
