Pedri and Trincao in Attack: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Barcelona Lineup vs Dynamo Kyiv

Barcelona stumbled yet again in La Liga last Sunday, as they could only secure a draw against Alaves, despite playing against 10-men for 30 minutes. The Catalan side have been in good form in the Champions League, however, having won both their matches, and will face Dynamo Kyiv at home on Wednesday.

Ronald Koeman’s side registered a promising 2-0 win against Juventus last week, while defeating Ferencvaros 5-1 in the first round of Champions League fixtures.

They are top of their table and will be one step closer to qualification to the knockout stages if they win on Wednesday.

Barcelona Team News

Defenders Samuel Umtiti and Ronald Araujo will miss the game, as will Philippe Coutinho and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. But, experienced defender Gerard Pique will be available once again after missing the previous Champions League encounter due to a suspension.

Let’s take a look at the possible Barcelona lineup for the game against Kyiv.

Predicted Barcelona Lineup vs Dynamo Kyiv

Goalkeeper

Neto made a big mistake against Alaves over the weekend, and the Barcelona fans will hope that it was a one-off and will not want to see a repeat of it when he starts on Wednesday.

Defence

Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique are the two first-team central defenders available for Koeman. They should start on Wednesday night at the Nou Camp.

Sergi Roberto has played the last two games for Barca and he could continue at right-back. Jordi Alba could be given a rest, with Sergino Dest taking his place as left-back in the Barcelona lineup. Junior Firpo is another option for Koeman at left-back.

Midfield

Miralem Pjanic has started both Champions League games for Barca this season and he should do so again on Wednesday, partnering Frenkie de Jong in midfield. Sergio Busquets should make way for Pjanic. Riqui Puig and Carles Alena are other options for Koeman.

Philippe Coutinho’s absence has meant that Lionel Messi has played in the No. 10 role in the Barcelona lineup. If Messi starts for Barca on Wednesday, he should continue in that position. But, the Argentine could be given a rest with Pedri playing in place of him.

Attack

Trincao and Ansu Fati should start for Barca on the right and left, respectively, while Antoine Griezmann could play as the main striker in the Barcelona Lineup.
