Manchester United extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to seven games after their 3-0 win against Sheffield United. But they remain 5 points behind Chelsea, who are in fourth after a massive win over last season’s champions Manchester City.
Anthony Martial was the star of the show as he grabbed his first hat-trick for Manchester United in the game. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men dominated the game against the Blades and should have had a bigger win margin.
David de Gea (6)
Had an easier game than the one against Tottenham as he had to make just one save against the Blades.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (7)
The Manchester United right-back was much better in attack than the previous game and he also grabbed an assist.
Victor Lindelof (7)
Was barely troubled in the game by the Sheffield attack.
Harry Maguire (7)
Drove forward with the ball from the back to help start attacks and led the United defence well.
Luke Shaw (8)
Played almost as a left-winger in the game and allowed Marcus Rashford to play further infield. Solid performance and he will be expected to keep up this form.
Nemanja Matic (7)
Looked calm and reassuring in the middle with his awareness and reading of the game and his passing. Dropped into central defence at times to give the full-backs more opportunities to attack.
Paul Pogba (8)
Steadily building back his match fitness and sharpness with a solid 80 minutes under his belt. Completed 5 dribbles and linked up well with Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes (7)
He wasn’t as influential as his previous outings in the red shirt, as he did not have space to operate in. Kept the ball moving and created a few chances.
Marcus Rashford (8)
His partnership with Anthony Martial is growing as he set up two goals for the Frenchman. Moved centrally and closer to Martial as the game wore on. Much, much better showing than the one against Spurs.
Mason Greenwood (7)
Contributed going forward, but also did a job defensively on the Manchester United right, especially in the first half.
Anthony Martial (10)
A perfect outing for Martial who scored his first hat-trick. Clinical and deadly in front of goal with some clever movement.
