Liverpool Make An Enquiry For Premier League Wing-Wizard: A Smashing Option For Klopp?

Liverpool have once again been linked with a move for Wolves wing-wizard Adama Traore, as per reports.

After deciding to not pursue Timo Werner’s signature (h/t The Athletic), Jurgen Klopp has identified the Spaniard as the top target to bring to Anfield, which would add more firepower to their already impressive attack.

Klopp has been quite vocal about his admiration for Traore as he had previously labelled him “unplayable”, and as per Mirror, the Reds have enquired for the 24-year old.

After signing for Wolves two years ago, Traore has gone on to make 79 appearances for the side, scoring seven times in the process.

Adama Traore – A smashing option for Klopp?

Adama Traore has surprised the football fraternity with his impressive performances for Wolves after a rather dull first season at the Molineux. His pace and strength have often caused teams problems, and a man of his physique is pretty much unstoppable when in full flow.

He, without a doubt, would be a smashing option for the Reds, but where would he fit in an offensive line comprising of consistently performing heavyweights like Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino?

Traore has managed 4 goals and 7 assists for Wolves this season in the Premier League, and regular football has helped him build his form. At Liverpool, he won’t be a sure-shot starter, and would be an impact player, unless he proves everyone wrong.

From Liverpool’s point of view, Traore would be a sensational signing as he would add pace and energy on the wings. He could be a player who could make an immediate impact from the bench in games against organised defensive units.

It remains to be seen if Traore can keep up his form for Wolves. This season has been a breakthrough one for the Spaniard, but there will be different pressure at Liverpool.

The Reds could potentially switch to a 4-2-3-1, with Adama on the right and Salah up top, allowing Firmino to play behind the forward and orchestrate play in the final third.

If he does sign for the club, he could be eased into the team. He is a different sort of player to Werner, who Liverpool have missed out on, but he is quality nonetheless.
