Brazilian Flair In Attack: Predicted 4-4-2 Everton Lineup vs Leicester City

Everton will take on Leicester City at Goodison Park on Wednesday, and the Toffees will hope to pick up their first home win after the restart.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are unbeaten since the Premier League resumed, drawing against arch-rivals Liverpool, and narrowly winning 1-0 against bottom-placed Norwich City.

The Toffees are currently 12th, and a few wins could get them closer to the Europa League spots, as they are currently 8 points behind 6th-placed Manchester United.

The last time Everton and Leicester City met in the league, Brendan Rodgers’ side won 2-1. But, that was an Everton side managed by Marco Silva; under Carlo Ancelotti, the Merseyside club have done a lot better.

Everton team news

Fabian Delph and Yerry Mina could return to the squad for the first time since the restart, but the likes of Theo Walcott, Djibril Sidibe and Jean-Philippe Gbamin will miss the tie against Leicester City.

Let’s take a look at the potential Everton lineup for the game against Leicester City:

Predicted Everton Lineup vs Leicester City

Goalkeeper

Jordan Pickford has been Ancelotti’s first-choice keeper and he should start for the game against Leicester City.

Defence

Ancelotti will not want to rush Mina back to the Everton lineup, and could perhaps give him an opportunity to build match fitness off the bench. That means that Michael Keane and Mason Holgate should start at the back for Everton.

At right-back, Captain Seamus Coleman should start once again, while Lucas Digne should start on the opposite side at left-back.

Midfield

Alex Iwobi had a good game last time around against Norwich City, and he should retain his right midfield slot.

Delph, like Mina, may not get a start and will probably come off the bench later in the game. Andre Gomes and Tom Davies should start in the middle of the park, while Bernard could also retain his place on the left side of midfield in the Everton lineup.

Gylfi Sigurdsson could be the attack-minded option in the middle of the park for the Toffees.

Attack

It will be an easy choice for Ancelotti to choose for his two strikers upfront as the duo of Richarlison and Dominic CalvertLewin have done well this season. Moise Kean is an option for the Italian manager off the bench.
