Manchester United ended the year and indeed the decade on a solid note as they registered a win against Burnley, winning four of their seven league games in December. The Red Devils have moved up to 5th in the league table, and are four points behind Chelsea who are occupying the 4th position.
The English side play Arsenal on New Year’s day at the Emirates and will want to kick off 2020 with a win against the Gunners, who are struggling at the moment.

Paul Pogba was given a break against Burnley and while he was expected to feature against the Gunners, media reports claim that he has not travelled with the squad thus possibly ruling him out.
Scott McTominay will be out for a couple of weeks, joining the likes of Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah on the sidelines. Eric Bailly is back in training but is unlikely to be selected after missing five months of action. Marcos Rojo is reportedly working on a move away from the club and won’t be considered for selection.
David de Gea should keep his place in the Manchester United lineup for the game against Arsenal.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were very good at the back in the game against Burnley, keeping the Clarets at bay.
Brandon Williams was in terrific form for Manchester United at left-back against Burnley. He could retain his place in the team ahead of Luke Shaw after that terrific performance last time around. Ole has a big decision to make here.
Ashley Young played at right-back against Burnley, but he will be replaced by Aaron Wan-Bissaka for this key game against Arsenal.
Nemanja Matic and Fred bossed the midfield area in the game against Burnley, with the latter being very impressive with his passing, interceptions and movement.
The duo is set to continue with injury issues plaguing the midfield area.
Jesse Lingard is an option in the no.10 role given his record against Arsenal but with Andreas Pereira impressing, Ole might well continue with him in the Manchester United lineup.
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford both got on the scoresheet in the game against Burnley and will look to continue in the same vein of form here.
Mason Greenwood was an unused substitute last time around and might once warm the bench given Daniel James’ display against the Clarets.
