Key Changes In Midfield | Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs Millwall

Leeds United host fierce rivals Millwall on Tuesday night in a must-win game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. The Whites lost their sixth game of the Championship season on Saturday when they fell to QPR at Loftus Road.

Bielsa’s side have lost their last three games, and will need to win their next game to stay hot on the heels of leaders West Brom, while also ensuring they have a stay ahead of third-placed Fulham, and Nottingham Forest, who have a game in hand.

Leeds lost the previous encounter against Millwall, and they will need to get back to winning ways – and soon.

Leeds United Team News

Kalvin Phillips will miss the next three games after being shown a red card for a strong tackle in the game against QPR.

Adam Forshaw and Barry Douglas won’t feature against Millwall as well, as they are not fit enough. Tyler Roberts may also miss the game through injury.

Gaetano Berardi could return after Bielsa revealed following the loss against QPR that the Swiss defender will be fit soon.

Let’s take a look at the possible Leeds United lineup for the game against Millwall:

Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs Millwall

Goalkeeper

Kiko Casilla will play between the sticks for Leeds United against Millwall.

Defence

It will be interesting to see what formation Bielsa chooses following Phillips’ suspension. If he plays a back three, Luke Ayling will play alongside Liam Cooper and Ben White.

If he sticks to the four-man defence, Ezgjan Alioski could come into the team at left-back in place of Stuart Dallas.

Midfield

Bielsa has a major issue in the defensive midfield position following the dismissal of Phillips. We could see Dallas move to a midfield role, playing alongside Mateusz Klich.

Jamie Shackleton could also come into midfield for the game against Millwall, in place of Pablo Hernandez, who could be moved wide.

Youngster Jordan Stevens is another option for Bielsa in midfield.

Attack

Patrick Bamford will lead the line once again, despite missing a crucial penalty last time around.

Helder Costa could be dropped for the game, with Hernandez switching to the right side role. Jack Harrison will most likely retain his left attacking midfield role for the game against Millwall.
