Manchester United Eyeing A Surprise Transfer For Spurs Star: A Good Fit Under Ole?

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks, who has not had too many opportunities under manager Jose Mourinho.

The English midfielder was a favourite under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, but that has changed since the Argentine’s sacking.

As per The Athletic, Manchester United have spoken about bringing Winks to Old Trafford and they could make a move for him in the January transfer window.

Manchester City are also reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old midfielder. Winks has been a part of the Spurs academy since the age of 6, coming through the ranks at the north London club before making his debut in 2014.

He has made over 120 appearances for Spurs since his debut, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists. Winks’ contract with Spurs expires in 2024, having signed an extension in 2019.

Harry Winks – Better suited under Ole?

Many pundits and fans predicted that Winks would be sidelined following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager, as the Portuguese manager prefers tall and physical midfielders in the base of midfield.

Winks is a more technical player who can use the ball well from his holding midfield position. The Englishman is a good passer of the ball and can control the tempo of the game from midfield, while also having the ability to move through the gears and dribble forward.

His style of play is akin to technically gifted Spanish players and is unique to the English game. He could be a very good addition to the Manchester United squad, who have been desperate for a holding midfielder since the departure of Michael Carrick.

The current Red Devils squad lacks quality midfielders and injuries have hurt them further. Winks could be a player who could slot very well in a midfield of Fred and Scott McTominay, with both of them being all-action midfielders.

United have struggled to control games and have been sloppy in possession, especially while playing the ball out from the back. Winks could solve that problem and also allow the full-backs to attack more as he can drop into deep positions in midfield to provide defensive cover.

The 23-year-old player could turn out to be a vital player in United’s revolution under Solskjaer.

I am sure this paragraph has touched all the internet people, its really really good paragraph on building up new web viagra.
