Antonio Could Return | Predicted 4-2-3-1 West Ham Lineup vs Arsenal

After the high of defeating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, West Ham United slumped to their seventh defeat of the season on Wednesday, when they lost 2-0 to Wolves.

The Hammers have a chance to turn things around in their next game when they face a despondent Arsenal side that lost against Brighton last time out.

Only three points separate the two teams, and Pellegrini’s side are just a point above the relegation zone, so they will hope to get a win and climb up the table.

West Ham Team News

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and midfielder Manuel Lanzini will surely miss the match, while midfielder Jack Wilshere and defender Winston Reid are doubts for the match.

Michail Antonio, though, could return for this game, having not been involved in the mid-week game against Wolves.

Let’s take a look at the possible West Ham United team for the game against Arsenal:

Predicted West Ham Lineup vs Arsenal

Goalkeeper

David Martin should continue in goal, and keep his place in the West Ham lineup.

Defence

Angelo Ogbonna and Fabián Balbuena couldn’t replicate their heroics from the Chelsea game when they face Wolves last time around. But, they should continue in defence, in an unchanged backline consisting of Ryan Fredericks at right-back and Aaron Cresswell at left-back.

Midfield

Declan Rice and Mark Noble should start as the two deep-lying midfielders for the Hammers against Arsenal.

Rice had a good game last time around, but Noble was poor in midfield, which eventually resulted in him being substituted. Wilshere could give Pellegrini another option if he is passed fit ahead of the game.

Robert Snodgrass was taken off in the game against Wolves due to a knock that he got in the game, but he should be fit enough to start once again. He will start on the right, while Andriy Yarmolenko could be an option for Pellegrini as well.

Pablo Fornals has played on the left in the last few games, and it will be interesting to see if Pellegrini starts him once again.

Felipe Anderson should start in the No. 10 role for West Ham.

Attack

Michail Antonio should replace Sébastien Haller as the main striker for the Hammers if he is passed fit for this game.
