Vinicius & Rodrygo On The Flanks: 4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup vs Barcelona

The first El Clasico of the 2019-20 season will take place this Wednesday as Real Madrid face Barcelona at Nou Camp. The match was supposed to take place on October 26, but it was postponed due to internal conflict in Spain.

In the lead up to the big game, Madrid could only secure a draw, the same result that their opponents for Wednesday garnered this past weekend. Both teams are locked level on points at the top of the table, and a win for either side could give them a huge leg up in the La Liga title race.

The last time these two sides faced at the Nou Camp in the league, Madrid were humbled 5-1 by the hosts.

Let’s take a look at the possible Real Madrid lineup for the game against Barcelona.

TEAM NEWS

Lucas Vazquez, Marco Asensio, James Rodriguez, Marcelo and Eden Hazard will all miss the game against Barcelona due to injuries.

PREDICTED REAL MADRID LINEUP VS BARCELONA (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

Thibaut Courtois should start in goal for this key game for Real Madrid.

Defence

Raphaël Varane and Sergio Ramos – Madrid’s first-choice centre-back pairing, should start at the back for the Spanish giants. We could see Ferland Mendy return to the left-back spot after serving his one-match suspension, replacing Nacho.

Dani Carvajal should keep his place over on the other side at right-back in the Real Madrid lineup.

Midfield

Manager Zinedine Zidane has a few options in the middle of the park and will have to make key decisions on the kind of game he will want to play.

Luka Modric played in midfield alongside Toni Kroos and Federico Valverde against Valencia over the weekend, but one of the three has to make way for Casemiro.

Modric could be the fall guy as Valverde has put in impressive performances this season.

Attack

Zidane is missing several of his attacking options ahead of the game against Barcelona, which makes it interesting as to what tactic he uses.

Last weekend, Isco, Rodrygo, and Karim Benzema started in attack. Isco had a poor game, which could see him being replaced by Vinicius on the left, with Benzema and Rodrygo retaining their places in the starting XI.

Gareth Bale is an option on the wing as well.
