Key Changes In Attack | 4-2-3-1 Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs Red Star Belgrade

Tottenham Hotspur will return to Champions League action on Wednesday after yet another poor result in the Premier League, as they could only muster a draw against Everton on Sunday.

The match was marred by an injury to Andre Gomes, following a tackle by Son Heung-min on the Portuguese midfielder.

Spurs face off against Red Star Belgrade in Belgrade on Wednesday, in a match that they need a win to pull away from the Serbian side, who are just a point behind them in Group B.

The North London side have won one, lost one, and drawn one in the Champions League so far and sit second in the table behind Bayern Munich.

Let’s take a look at the team that manager Mauricio Pochettino may put out for Wednesday’s game:

Predicted Tottenham Lineup vs Red Star Belgrade

Goalkeeper

Paulo Gazzaniga has replaced Hugo Lloris in goal and has done well so far. Gazzaniga will start against Red Star on Wednesday.

Defence

Jan Vertonghen missed the game against Everton, and he may miss the Champions League game as well. Davinson Sánchez and Toby Alderweireld should play at the heart of the defence for Spurs, as they did against Everton in the Premier League over the weekend.

Juan Foyth could start at right-back for Spurs, replacing Serge Aurier in the starting lineup. On the left side, Ben Davies should start, while Ryan Sessegnon is an option from the bench after finally making his debut for Spurs over the weekend, against Everton.

Midfield

Tanguy Ndombélé and Moussa Sissoko started in midfield, but we could see a change in this partnership with Harry Winks replacing Sissoko in the starting lineup, while Ndombélé might retain his place in the team.

Giovani Lo Celso could finally get a start for Spurs, feature in the attacking midfield role. The Argentine played under 20 minutes of the game against Everton over the weekend.

Attack

Harry Kane had an illness, but is available to play as the forward in the team. Pochettino may not select Son Heung-min, who was visibly upset and in tears following the injury to Andre Gomes. Lucas Moura should start alongside Dele Alli in the Tottenham attack.
