Change At The Back Under Ljungberg | Predicted Arsenal Lineup vs Norwich City

Arsenal had yet another terrible result in mid-week in the Europa League when they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt at home on Thursday.

While the Gunners have all but qualified to the knockout stages of the Europa League, it didn’t help the future of manager Unai Emery, who has now been sacked.

The Gunners face a tricky fixture on Sunday night when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road, who had defeated Manchester City earlier this season.

Arsenal are currently 8th in the league, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool and 8 points behind Chelsea who are in the last Champions League spot.

Arsenal Team News

David Luiz suffered an injury against Frankfurt and he will most likely miss the game. Dani Ceballos is another player who will not be able to make the Arsenal lineup.

Granit Xhaka returned to the Arsenal squad for the mid-week game, but he too suffered an injury in the game and that he could miss the Norwich clash.

Let’s take a look at the possible Arsenal lineup for the game against Norwich City under new manager Freddie Ljungberg:

Predicted Arsenal Lineup vs Norwich City

Goalkeeper

Bernd Leno should start the game for the Gunners between the sticks for Sunday’s game.

Defence

David Luiz’s injury means that Calum Chambers will start at the back for Arsenal, and he could partner Sokratis at the heart of the Gunners defence.

Héctor Bellerín should provide attacking intent from the right-back position, while Kieran Tierney could retain his left-back position.

This is if the stand-in manager, Ljungberg, sticks to a four-man defence. Holding is another option for the Swede.

Midfield

Luiz and Xhaka played as defensive midfielders in the Europa League game, but neither of them could make the Arsenal lineup come Sunday.

Lucas Torreira and Mattéo Guendouzi should be the two central midfielders for Arsenal as Dani Ceballos is currently injured as well. Joe Willock is another option in the midfield role for Arsenal.

Mesut Özil could start as the attacking midfielder in the Arsenal lineup.

Attack

Alexandre Lacazette was an unused substitute for the Gunners in the mid-week Europa League, which means that he will most likely start.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will partner Lacazette, perhaps from the right side, while youngster Bukayo Saka could get a start on the left.
