Pulisic To Get A Start | 4-2-3-1 Predicted Chelsea Lineup vs Burnley

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are one of the in-form sides in the Premier League at the moment. They have now won each of their last six games in all competitions, but have a tricky test this Saturday, when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley.

They take on a Burnley side who are fresh from a loss to Leicester City, which is their first in their last five league games.

The Blues have not lost in any of their last five trips to Burnley and will look to continue that run in this game.

Chelsea Team News

In early team news, Andreas Christensen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are the only long term absentees from the first team.

Antonio Rudiger and Ross Barkley should be in contention for this tie while N’Golo Kante is back in training and could at least make the bench this weekend.

Predicted Chelsea Lineup (4-2-3-1) vs Burnley

Defence:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has now kept back to back clean sheets and will hope to continue that run against The Clarets this weekend. He should have Kurt Zouma and Fikayo Tomori, both of who have found some form recently, helping him dominate the penalty area.

The duo were superb against Ajax but will have their work cut out against the likes of Chris Wood and Jay Rodriguez in Burnley’s attack.

Cesar Azpilicueta is one of the first names in the Chelsea lineup, and will continue to sport the captain’s armband this weekend as well. Emerson Palmieri is back from injury, but Marcos Alonso has shown enough promise to retain his place in the Chelsea lineup.

Midfield:

With Kante not expected to be risked for this game, Lampard could stick with a two man midfield of Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho.

The duo did brilliantly on their trip to Amsterdam in the mid-week and will look to put in a similar performance in a game that will certainly not be easy for the visitors.

Attack:

Mason Mount seems to have cemented his place in the Chelsea lineup. The youngster will start in the no.10 role while Tammy Abraham, who remains the top goal scorer in the league, will lead the attack for the Blues this weekend.

Callum Hudson-Odoi deserves to start regularly and could be pushed to the right flank while Christian Pulisic, who changed the game for Chelsea against Ajax, could get his first start in a while, on the left flank.
