Transfer News: Chelsea To Take A Huge Call On This Spanish Star

Chelsea could lose one of their most experienced players as winger Pedro has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge. The former Barcelona player, who joined the Premier League club from the Catalan giants in 2015, has made nearly 200 appearances for the Blues.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Spaniard could leave the side as early as the January transfer window as he has fallen down the pecking order at the London based outfit. Pedro has made 7 appearances this season, scoring once and making one assist.

The 32-year-old has won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League in his spell at the club, adding to the numerous medals he won at Barcelona. He starred in the Europa League last season, helping the Blues to the title with 5 goals and 3 assists in 14 games, even scoring in the final.

Should the Blues let him leave?

The veteran winger has not had many chances this season under Frank Lampard, playing just thrice in the Premier League. Willian has been in good form and has sealed his spot on the right side of Chelsea’s attack, while the emergence and good form of Christian Pulisic – a player who can play on the left or right – means that Lampard has many options to choose from out wide.

Pedro is a versatile player who can play on the right, left, or behind the striker, but he’s the strongest on the right, drifting into central areas and putting in crosses. The Spaniard, though, is not the player that he was when he signed for Chelsea. He has lost a bit of pace and age seems to be catching up on the 32-year-old.

Willian has looked strong on the right, while Pulisic can also compete in that position after his upturn in form. Callum Hudson-Odoi operates from the left, but he too can play on the right. Lampard and Chelsea should let Pedro leave despite the Blues not having the option of signing a replacement as the transfer ban doesn’t allow them to sign players in January.

If you are on a personal connection, I shit you not best place.
