Diangana and Zohore to start: 4-2-3-1 West Bromwich Albion predicted lineup vs QPR

Following their riveting 4-2 win over Huddersfield Town at the Hawthorns last weekend, West Bromwich Albion will head to the Loftus Road Stadium as they are due to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The Baggies, under the tutelage of Slaven Bilic, have made a decent start to their 2019-20 Championship campaign. After having played 8 league games, they have 16 points to their name and are currently fourth in the league standings.

West Bromwich Albion Team News

Kieran Gibbs is expected to return this weekend from his groin injury. Further, Connor Townsend could also recover from his back problem on time to be available for the game against the Hoops.

Gareth Barry is on the treatment table since March with a knee injury while Ahmed Hegazi is still out owing to the ankle injury which he had sustained while playing in the second leg of the play-off semi-final against Aston Villa.

Predicted West Brom Lineup Vs QPR (4-2-3-1)

Defence

Sam Johnstone is set to be pencilled between the sticks once again in the upcoming league fixture. His display was a bit dodgy against the Terriers and a better performance will be expected.

Semi Ajayi and Kyle Bartley have cemented their place in the West Brom lineup and are expected to start as usual. Bartley, in particular, has been rock-solid at the back, having mustered 1.3 tackles and 4.3 clearances per game on an average.

Bilic is likely to roll out Darnell Furlong and Nathan Ferguson as his full-backs in the West Brom lineup. Both have been immensely influential down the flanks and have also catered to their defensive duties meticulously.

Midfield

Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers could get the nod to start in central midfield. They will have a crucial role to play at the heart of the midfield controlling the tempo of the game to hand the Baggies an advantage over the 90 minutes.

Sawyers has made 3 tackles, won 1 aerial duel and carved a pass completion rate of 89% on an average. He has been one of the standout figures for the Throstles so far this season and will hope to continue in a similar fashion.

Matheus Pereira could start in the attacking midfield role, playing with freedom behind the striker.

Attack

Grady Diangana had put on an inspiring show after coming off the bench against Huddersfield Town. He bagged a couple of assists and could be rewarded with a start on the left-wing.

Matt Phillips bagged a brace last weekend and will be summoned to start on the right-wing. Kenneth Zohore could start at the expense of Charlie Austin as the latter has failed to score despite having played 5 league games.
