Abraham gets 9: Chelsea Players Rated In 2-2 Draw vs Sheffield United

Chelsea blew a two-goal cushion at the Stamford Bridge and could garner just one point against Sheffield United as the visitors carved a dazzling comeback in the second half.

Tammy Abraham scored a couple of goals for the Blues in the first half but Callum Robinson’s strike right after the break and an own goal by Kurt Zouma spoiled the party for Frank Lampard’s side.

Kepa Arrizabalaga 6/10

Arrizabalaga made a couple of saves but couldn’t do much with the goals he conceded.

Cesar Azpilicueta 4/10

The veteran defender struggled against the pace of Robinson and Enda Stevens and was constantly targeted by the visiting side.

Fikayo Tomori 6/10

Tomori was decent at the back, making 3 tackles, and could well be pushing Zouma and Christensen for a spot in the team once Rudiger returns. He was good in the air and made good use of his strong physicality.

Kurt Zouma 5/10

The centre-back was marginally better on the day. However, his error of judgment handed Sheffield United their second goal.

Emerson Palmieri 7/10

He was lively down the left and kept marauding forward to link up with his attacking teammates. Seems to be the bonafide first choice for Lampard.

Jorginho 8/10

For a major portion of the game, Jorginho dictated the tempo and pulled the strings for Chelsea. He was calm and composed and read the game brilliantly; things he is expected to do every week.

Mateo Kovacic 7/10

Kovacic toiled relentlessly and should have scored during the first half. He mustered a pass completion rate of 92% and also shielded the backline on many occasions.

Ross Barkley 5/10

The former Everton man was anonymous and certainly out of touch as he was all over the place and lacked creativity.

Christian Pulisic 6/10

Pulisic tried his bit but couldn’t really make his presence felt in the final third the way he and the manager would have liked. He impressed in patches but needs to be a lot more consistent.

Mason Mount 6/10

The young gun didn’t see much of the ball and struggled to get past George Baldock and Chris Basham. Nonetheless, his work-ethic was exemplary and he will keep getting first-team chances.

Tammy Abraham 9/10

Abraham took his chances well and thoroughly deserved the brace. He was full of intent up front and his link-up play, in particular, was stupendous.
