Swansea City are interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, according to the reports.
The Championship outfit are desperate to beef up their attacking artillery and Wales Online have claimed that they are willing to sign Nketiah on loan.
Intriguingly, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has stated that a loan move for Nketiah would be perfect for the young gun as it will enable him to gain experience of competitive football.
The forward is apparently being tracked by a plethora of clubs, including Bristol City and Cardiff City, and it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for him.
The north London based side have a good stock of attackers at their disposal, with their summer signings Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe adding a lot of bite upfront.
Emery relied heavily on the attacking duo of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette last season as these two were involved in a major chunk of the number of goals Arsenal scored.
The scenario is unlikely to change anytime soon and it will be hard for Nketiah to make his way into the starting lineup on a regular basis in the upcoming season.
Instead of staying with the Gunners and getting a few odd chances here and there, it will make a lot of sense if he moves out on loan to get regular game time.
While Arsenal will be able to mark his progress, the Swans will have a blossoming attacker on the books and his loan move to Swansea City could benefit all the parties involved.
The Arsenal academy product is a versatile attacker who is capable of plying his trade as a centre-forward, winger or as a false no.9.
Nketiah has pace to burn and is extremely sure of himself in and around the penalty box. The 20-year-old also has excellent dribbling skills which help him to keep the opposition on the backfoot in their half.
By no means is he a finished product and a season in the Championship will do him a world of good with the Gunners willing to keep him on their books for the time being.
Steve Cooper’s side have started their campaign with a 2-1 win over Hull City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday and Nketiah has the potential to help them in their pursuit of getting back to the top flight.
